TennisDon Bio

Don Marinoni is currently a United States Professional Tennis (USPTA) teaching professional and owner of TennisDon, Inc.  Don believes it is important to use technologies like Video and the Web to help players improve more quickly.

Don’s career is extremely diverse having begun teaching tennis in 1979.  Don began coaching youth tennis players, and running adult tennis classes at Shaker Racket Club in Ohio.  Then owned by former Wimbledon player Jack March, Don was exposed to players the likes of Bobby Riggs and Fred Perry learning how best to coach and manage top ranked players.  Don was Assistant Tennis Pro at the prestigious Beechmont Country Club, and Chagrin Valley Country clubs near Cleveland, Ohio.  Don funded his Bachelors of Science Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University, through his coaching and racket stringing professions.

After college, Don moved to Atlanta to begin his career as a software trainer, at ExecuTrain Corporation, and began coaching men’s and women’s ALTA (Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association) teams.  Don’s vocations lead him to become the Technology Training Manager at the law firm of Kilpatrick Stockton LLP. He continued to teach tennis throughout his business career, with teams winning the city finals.    

Don’s entrepreneurial spirit lead him to found and co-own Intelliteach, Inc.  He and Lance Waagner built this legal industry technology Training and Help Desk Company into a multi-million dollar business.  In 2009, Don began to passionately pursue starting a Tennis Learning Company using his skills as a business owner, tennis instructor, and technologist, by creating TennisDon Incorporated.  Don’s successes as a business owner and tennis club assistant pro complement his ability to manage tennis facilities, while promoting a fun community club atmosphere.
